Affiliate & advertising disclosure
Last updated: 2026-10-19
BidGaps is free to use. Here is how it makes money, in plain language, so you can judge what you read here.
Affiliate and referral links
Some links on BidGaps, and in the BidGaps Weekly newsletter, may be affiliate or referral links. If you click one and then sign up, request a quote, book a demo or buy something, BidGaps may earn a commission or referral fee from that company.
It costs you nothing extra. You pay the same price whether you use our link or go to the company directly.
When a link is an affiliate link, we say so right next to it, with a short note like this one:
Disclosure Affiliate link: BidGaps may earn a commission or referral fee if you sign up or buy through it, at no extra cost to you. How we make money
(That note is an example of the label. It is not attached to a real link.)
Sponsored placements
Companies can pay to sponsor BidGaps pages or the newsletter, and trade contractors can pay for a listing. Those placements are always labeled, for example “Sponsored by” or “listing”, so you can tell them apart from our own content. See Advertise for how sponsorships work.
Our recommendations aren't for sale
- Sponsors and affiliate partners don't write, edit or approve our checklists, exclusions, glossary or questions to ask bidders.
- We don't put affiliate links inside the trade checklists.
- We only mention a product or service when we think it's useful to people collecting and leveling construction bids. Whether a company pays us doesn't change what the checklists say.
- BidGaps doesn't vet, license-check, rank or endorse contractors or vendors. Check licenses, insurance, terms and references yourself.
